It seems to me this dpisode could be an indictment of nationalized healthcare sincee the allocator is wprking based upon supposed societal value.
Hi Dennis – indeed, there is a very valid interpretation to look at this episode about the pitfalls of a healthcare system in which a governing body (the administrators) make the calls about level of care rather than the medical professionals. I’m having a hard time thinking of an existing real-world system of nationalized healthcare that actually denies care based on “societal value.” Is there an example you can share?
China has done experimentation with social credit and easier access to healthcare, but from what I read it’s been mainly in pilot stages.
