    You know, since it’s been proven that the koon-ut-kal-if-fee meets the needs of the pon farr (i.e. apparently the body simply needs to “get physical”) if you have qualms about using the holodeck as a “marital aid”, why not use it as a sparring partner?
    We run into this later (spoiler alert) when Paris has to convince Tuvok that “it’s not cheating if it’s a hologram of your wife.” Or there’s the apparent failure of that treatment protocol with Vorik.
    So when the meditation fails them, why can’t Tuvok/Vorik simply turn off the safety protocols, which apparently are just a joke anyway, and check the library to see if they have a copy of Worf’s calisthenics program?
