  1. Having read this I thought it was really enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and effort to put this article together.
I once again find myself personally spending a significant amount of time both reading and leaving comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!

Great double podcast. I agree with pretty much everything…especially your comments about the finale.

I am a serious TOS guy (nothing comes close to the show I grew up with. I admit a bias there). But if SNW is to enjoy its own destiny, you can’t play it like, “Kirk did it right, Pike screwed up” Not fair to the new show. Now I think many of the Berman shows did TOS dirty too, but the most egregious example of a show stepping on another is obviously the Enterprise finale.

Norm. Yeah. Go for more original stuff….at least for key episodes. The suggestion of another Captain like Tracey or even Decker would have worked better than the Pierce Brosnan take on Kirk.

Heather. Yes. Find a guy who can remind me even a little of Shatner. He looked like a child next to Anson. How can we believe this guy battling the Gorn at Vasquez Rocks (just a few miles from me, BTW) or seducing Lenore Karidian? Shades of the Solo film. It had it’s problems but the biggest one was not even bothering to find someone who evoked Harrison Ford even for a moment. The legacy of Kirk deserves better.

Oh and yeah about Ortegas. WTF? Who is this woman?
